Dr Abbas Zaidi, male

MBBS 1999 MRCGP 2005

Dr Zaidi has been qualified from University of London (St George’s Hospital Medical School) since 1998 and been a partner at Castle Medical Group since 2005.

He has previously worked with other practices supporting referral pathways and local population health medicine within the primary care network. Apart from supporting core duties in patient care, he provides postnatal checks, six-week infant checks, joint injections and minor surgery. He works 7 sessions a week across the sites at Castle Medical Group.

Dr Mazhar Kiani, male

Dr Kiani has been a partner at CMG since September 2019. Previously, he has worked as clinical commissioning fellow with health education England and has a vast experience of working in hospital medicine in different specialties.

Dr Grzegorz Chomicz, male

Dr Chomicz completed BSc in psychology in Buffalo at University in New York in 2003. He continued higher education and finished Poznan University Medical Sciences obtaining MD degree (lekarz) in 2008. Professional background: Foundation training in Oxford Deanery 2008-2010 Psychiatry training in London Deanery 2010-2014 GP training in Luton 2014-2018 (MRCGP 2018) He works 6 sessions per week across both sites. Dr Chomicz has a special interest in mental health and cancer early recognition.

Dr Hussain Chowdhury, male

Dr Chowdhury joined Castle Medical Group in 2019 and became a partner in 2021. He has experience working in hospitals and GP surgeries across Luton, Stoke on Trent, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Dunstable. Over the years, he has been involved in the supervision of other clinicians. He has specialist interests in elderly care and diabetes. He enjoys gardening, cricket, and spending time with his family and friends. Overall, he is passionate about caring for vulnerable people in the community and the world.

Samir Patel, male

BPharm (Hons)

Qualified from the London School of Pharmacy in 1992 and has been a partner since 2021. He works as a senior clinical pharmacist in the team with a keen interest in cardiology. Throughout his extensive community pharmacy career, he has worked across multiple and independent pharmacies, managing numerous branches and developing pharmacy teams.

He has worked for a national training provider to pharmacy (CPPE) and also for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) supporting the professional development of pharmacy teams. During his career, he has also worked on various committees representing local pharmacy and building relationships with the local NHS.
